The Organising Committee has recently met to discuss the conference in view of the
ongoing crisis due to the Coronavirus outbreak. We have concluded that it will not be possible to hold the conference on the revised dates (21st – 25th September 2020) and that the conference will be rearranged for 2nd – 6th May 2022. The timetable for the rescheduled conference will appear on this website in the coming months.
The Organising Committee apologises for this two-year postponement and the inconvenience that it may cause, but we think that this is the best option in view of the ongoing Coronavirus crisis.
Authors will receive a letter indicating instructions about submission of their manuscripts and the related implications.

Dear Colleagues,
As you will have seen in the news, the Italian Government took additional steps to confine the propagation of Coronavirus.
These steps include quarantining parts of northern Italy, postponing events which assemble significant numbers of people, including congresses and conferences, that will take place in the next four weeks. In addition, companies and institutes are restricting non-essential business travel.
Therefore, the Organising Committee has taken the decision to postpone the ICRM-LLRMT 2020 conference to 21st-25th September 2020.
We apologise for this inconvenient change, and we hope that you will still be able to attend the conference in September; perhaps you could indicate, if you will do so.
The arrangements for registration to the conference, hotel bookings and manuscript submission will be sent to you soon, but in the meantime, please contact the conference organisers with any questions you may have.
As for now registration is closed until further notice.
With kind regards,
The Organising Committee

Dear Colleagues,
today the Italian Government has taken further steps to confine the propagation of the new Coronavirus. Among the indications, there is the order to postpone all events, congresses and conferences that will take place in the next four weeks. Besides that, travel and gatherings have to be reduced to a minimum. So far no information is available, if these restrictions will have to be prolonged.
Therefore the Organizing Committee took today the decision to postpone the ICRM-LLRMT 2020 conference to a later date, presumably in autumn. The exact date will be communicated on this website within the next days. We apologise for any inconvenience.
Speakers and contributors will be informed soon about new deadlines for submission of their manuscripts.
As for now registration is closed until further notice.
With kind regards,
The Organizing Committee
The Low-Level Radioactivity Measurement Techniques (LLRMT) 2020 Conference is a five-day topical meeting of the International Committee for Radionuclide Metrology (ICRM). INFN-LNGS is pleased to host the conference at the Laboratori Nazionali del Gran Sasso, Assergi, April 20-24, 2020.
The ICRM working group for Low-Level Measurements Techniques (LLMT) examines techniques to enable the detection of ever lower amounts of radioactivity. This enables for example collecting smaller samples and realising new applications involving radionuclides. The working group focuses on metrology and the latest developments in a variety of areas, including measurement of environmental radioactivity, radionuclides in food and drinking water, reference materials characterisation, tracer studies and nuclear physics research. It is planned to publish the conference proceedings in a refereed scientific journal.
The conference brings together 130-150 worldwide experts for presentations and discussion covering the techniques, applications and data in the field of low-level radioactivity measurement. It will be the first time that a conference in this series will be hosted in the Italy.
